About Ron Ernst

Ron is a full-time executive development consultant and is Chair of a Vistage CEO Group.
His book RealTime Coaching is the basis for his executive development workshop that has been attended by more than 5,000 managers. He has appeared as a guest on radio programs across the nation and has made more than twenty keynote speeches. His work has been profiled in such publications as CFO, Nation ‘s Business, The Indianapolis Star, The Arizona Republic, Entrepreneur Magazine, The Indianapolis Business Journal, Indianapolis Monthly and Indianapolis CEO.
Ron’s methods include a variety of awareness building tools and regular dialogue meetings. Currently, Ron is president and founder of Leadership Horizons, an executive development consulting company founded in 1983. Previously, Ron was an Executive Vice President with Management Horizons a consulting company that is now a division of Price-Waterhouse. Over the years, Ron has taught at Indiana University, Capital University, Franklin University and Ball State University. He also served on the boards of numerous family owned businesses.
Ron’s Background
Ron received his business degree from Indiana University and his MBA from The Ohio State University. He is Reality Therapy Certified by the William Glasser Institute and is a Certified Professional Analyst in behaviors, values and attributes by TTI, Inc. In his spare time Ron enjoys golfing, reading and cooking up Italian dishes. As a volunteer Ron has been a telephone crisis/suicide counselor and has more than 1,000 hours of crisis line experience. Ron has taught high performance driving skills for the BMW Car Club and during his recent sabbatical was a chef in a gourmet Italian restaurant.
